Abstract

Perkembangan kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI), khususnya pada bidang Natural Language Processing (NLP) dan Generative AI, telah mendorong penggunaan chatbot secara luas, terutama sejak pandemi COVID-19. Fenomena ini penting dikaji karena chatbot tidak lagi berperan semata sebagai sistem otomatis, melainkan mulai dipersepsikan sebagai agen sosial yang mampu membangun kepercayaan, kedekatan emosional, dan rasa kehadiran sosial bagi penggunanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis bagaimana peran sosial chatbot dibahas dalam literatur ilmiah. Metode yang digunakan adalah systematic literature review terhadap 101 artikel yang dipublikasikan pada periode 2017–2025. Hasil kajian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan jumlah penelitian setelah tahun 2020, dengan fokus utama pada aspek kepercayaan, anthropomorphism, dan pengalaman interaksi yang semakin menyerupai komunikasi antarmanusia. Selain itu, beberapa studi juga mengungkap adanya dampak emosional serta isu etis yang muncul akibat intensitas interaksi manusia dengan chatbot. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan manusia dan chatbot telah berkembang menjadi bentuk interaksi sosial yang kompleks, sehingga memerlukan pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif sebagai dasar pengembangan dan pengelolaan chatbot di masa depan.
